Description
The Air Jordan 1 High GS “Patent Bred” is the youth version of the black-and-red colorway of the vintage basketball shoe that was released in December 2021. The “Patent Bred” version of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe is based on the model’s original “Bred” colorway, the style that first appeared on the Nike Air Ship then Air Jordan 1 in the mid-80s. Both shoes in the “Bred” colorway were “banned” from the NBA, and subsequently the centerpiece of Nike’s “Banned” campaigns featuring Jordan wearing the shoe. The “Patent Bred” puts a modern spin on the look with glossy patent leather instead of the traditional full-grain leather found on the original “Bred.” Black patent leather appears on the forefoot, eyelets, and mid-panel. Contrasting Varsity Red leather is found on the perforated toe, collar, heel, and Swoosh. A black “Wings” logo resides on the collar and completes the look. Release date: December 30, 2021
