Air Jordan 1 Mid Banned (PS)
The Air Jordan 1 Mid PS “Banned 2020” is the preschool sizing of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe in a colorway inspired by the Nike Air Ship design of the same nickname. Worn by Michael early in his career with the Chicago Bulls, the Air Ship “Bred” or “Banned” was in fact outlawed by the NBA’s league offices because it violated a since-removed team uniform policy that a player's shoe had to be at least 50% white. Similarly to the Air Ship, this “Banned” Jordan 1 Mid features a black and red color scheme that jives with the Bulls’ team uniforms. Red leather can be found on the perforated toe, collar, heel, and Swoosh branding on the mid-panel. The fiery shade of red also appears on the middle eyelet panel and heel tab on the back of the shoe. Contrasting black leather can be found on the toe cap, forefoot, and mid-panel. Jordan Brand outfits the tongue in lightweight black nylon and places a black “Wings” logo on the collar.
